Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi, delivered a powerful and insightful CEO roundtable on August 20, 2025
This exclusive dialogue brought together the brightest minds from India’s retail, FMCG, and e-commerce sectors, alongside influential government leaders, to chart a course for sustainable and innovative growth.
The Theme for 2025
This year’s theme, PRIME: Promoting Resilient, Inclusive Manufacturing & Employment, aligned perfectly with the national vision of ‘Make in India.’ The discussions highlighted key trends, regulatory challenges, and opportunities that are set to redefine the Indian consumer market for years to come.
The race for resilient global supply chains
With a focus on strengthening India’s manufacturing capabilities, leaders discussed strategies for creating resilient, global supply chains. Key policymakers, including Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA), and Dr. A. Visala, Joint Drugs Controller (India), engaged with industry veterans on promoting smarter compliance and easing the process of doing business.
Sustainability takes center stage
A significant takeaway from the roundtable was the industry’s strong commitment to sustainability. Discussions highlighted a collective effort towards reducing plastic usage and embracing reusable and recyclable packaging, with many companies already implementing practices to become plastic and water-neutral. This shows a growing understanding that ethical practices and brand value are becoming more intertwined.
The rise of the omni-channel consumer
With shifting consumer behaviors and an increasingly digital-first populace, particularly in urban areas, the conversation naturally turned to technology and innovation. Leaders explored the critical role of AI and data analytics in decoding consumer needs and building brands that resonate across digital and physical touchpoints. The consensus was clear: the future belongs to brands that can create a seamless and integrated shopping experience.
Shaping India’s growth story
The event was a testament to the power of collaboration between the government and industry. By fostering meaningful dialogue, Massmerize 2025 laid the groundwork for policies that will not only boost national economic development but also ensure that this growth is inclusive and resilient. The vision is to make India a global manufacturing powerhouse, a sentiment echoed by Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in his closing address.
What this means for the community
For the community of innovators and brand enthusiasts, the Massmerize 2025 CEO Roundtable provides a clear roadmap. The emphasis on digital innovation, sustainable practices, and understanding the evolving consumer landscape are all core pillars of effective modern communication. By staying ahead of these trends, we can continue to create and amplify stories that truly matter.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Vice President – Corporate Strategy & Business Promotion, Leads Connect, and one of the delegates at the event said, “The agenda was to see that by 2047, we as a nation become Viksit Bharat. Hon’ble Minister wanted both domestic as well as multi national companies to focus on local produce and be more export oriented rather than importing and marketing in India. Price competitiveness was another topic, and he assured all out support to the industry from Government. He appreciated the efforts put in by the home grown agro and food processing sector to help farmers, as also to help improve their conditions. He added, America’s tariff tactics would be non negotiable as the nation’s self reliance initiatives would not be compromised. Finally he said that GST would be reduced much before Diwali.”
The conversations at Massmerize 2025 show that India’s consumer market is on an exciting and transformative journey. At Sociospiel, we are thrilled to witness this dynamic evolution.
